2014 crate sportsmen rules only exceptions to rules are as follows:
1.2 Crates Weight is 2400 - Open Weight is 2500. NO MORE OPEN MOTORS AFTER THE 2014 RACING SEASON.
1.3 Open Motor 590 gear. . Crate Motor can run up to a 630 gear.
1.4 With Gear change above, there is not rev box rule
1.5 Steel or aluminum wheels.

ENGINES MUST REMAIN STOCK AS MANUFACTURED WITH FOLLOWING EXCEPTIONS:
1 BLOCKS: The engine block and all internal parts must meet stock specifications for its make. No aluminum blocks.

2. CYLINDER HEADS: Cast iron OEM stock production heads, or Dart 180, Chevy bow tie. Chrys W-2, Ford competition are permitted. All identification numbers must be visible. Porting is allowed but no adding of material any where on head allowed.

3 RODS: OEM stock production or aftermarket solid steel rods are allowed.No titanium.aluminum,or billet rods allowed.No polished rods. Rod lengths must be OEM specs for block used.

4 CRANKSHAFT: Any steel or cast iron crankshaft allowed providing it maintains stock stroke as manufactured for the engine block used. Aftermarket OEM replacement crankshafts with holes drilled through crank pins are allowed providing they maintain stock appearance and specs. No light weight cranks. No knife edging, narrowing, or cutting down diameter of counter weights. No polishing.

5 PISTONS: Any brand, 3 ring flat top piston aluminum piston only. No coating of any kind.

6 CAMSHAFT: Any make hydraulic or flat tappet allowed. No rollers, roller gear driven cams, mushroom lifters or lash caps allowed. Shaft rockers and stud girdles not allowed. Engines with stock shaft rockers are allowed. Roller rockers with optional ratios are allowed. Lifters must be OEM diameters.

7 INTAKE MANIFOLD: Must be a stock passenger car, cast iron 2 barrel intake manifold only.     An option aluminum four barrel, spec manifold may be used. The manufacturer is Brodix part #HV1011 for Chevy, Edelbrock part #2915 for chrys 340 heads, Edelbrock part #2920 for the chrys W-2 head, and Edelbrock part #2981 for the ford 351 windsor.
All intake manifolds on the non crate motor option may be ported. Can not add any material to intake.

8. CARBURETOR: Any American stock OEM2 barrel carburetor up to 1-11/16" throttle bore with with no adapter plate is legal on cast iron manifolds. The Holley carburetor,part# 4412 is acceptable and must run a maximum spacer adapter of 1-1/16" including gaskets. No modifications of any kind will be allowed to these carburetors except those listed below (box stock only). No HP carburetors allowed. Conventional round type air cleaners only. Air cleaners that provide ventilation through the top cover are permitted. No air induction plastic carburetor inserts or other devices to directs air into intake. Carburetor modifications allowed are listed below any thing else will be illegal:
     Holes drilled in throttle plates for idling.
     Drilling, tapping and plugging of on used vacuum ports.
     Welding of throttle shaft to linkage arm.
     Drilling for idle or high speed air correction jets.
     Milling of center carburetor body metering block surface a max. of .015" on each side.
     Removal of choke plate and shaft.
     Jets may be changed as needed.
     Either accelerator pump is allowed .

9. Site plug optoional in oil pan on drivers side of oil pan, towards the front of pan, 3 to 6 inches back OR be prepared to pull oil pan

#1- Front stub
1.1 GM factory built 1970 ½ - 1981 “F car“ [Camaro & Firebird] front stub must be used
1.2 Stub must measure at 24” in front and 24” behind ball joint centerline and 28 ½” inside rails
1.3 GM factory “F car” cross member or exact replacement must be used; modifications for clearances only
1.4 steering box and idler arm must remain in stock location
1.5 front horns, ahead of steering box, may be rebuilt with tubing
1.6 engine location: #1 spark plug must be within 1” of ball joint centerline
1.7 front stub other than “1.1” must be approved prior to entry

#2 – Front suspension
2.1 must use OEM or OEM direct replacement lower A-frames in stock location
2.2 must use 5 or 5 ½” diameter springs mounted in stock location
2.3 OEM, OEM direct replacement, or purpose built upper A-frames are allowed
2.4 OEM, OEM direct replacement, or purpose built tubular tie rods are allowed
2.5 purpose built hubs and spindles are encouraged
2.6 jacking bolts are allowed

#3- Frame between front stub and trailing arm mounting points [main frame]
3.1 must be constructed of 2”x2” square or 1 ¾” round tubing [minimums]
3.2 round tubing must be 4130 chrome moly or DOM with minimum wall thickness of .083”
3.3 each main frame rail must extend rearward to within a maximum of 21” to centerline of rear axle

#4- Rear suspension
4.1 coil or leaf [single or multiple] springs allowed
4.2 three point only / no four point
4.3 may use panhard bar or W link
4.4 no bird cages
4.5 no brake floaters
4.6 only one shock per wheel
4.7 coil over shocks allowed on rear only
4.8 coil eliminators / sliders are allowed
4.9 no fifth coil over torque arms; no springs or shocks on torque arms
4.10 no spring or rubber mounted trailing arms
4.11 lower trailing arms must be solid mounted
4.12 90/10 shock may be mounted on top of rear end housing; it must be parallel to 3rd link or torque arm centered +/- 6” on housing
4.13 maximum of four coil springs per car

#5 – Rear end
5.1 Closed late model type quick change rear end with steel tubes allowed.
5.2 Ford 9in floater rear end allowed with steel housing and tubes.

5.3 rear end gears must be locked
5.4 floater–type with wide five hubs encouraged and will become mandatory
5.5 no torque sensing devices

#6 – Wheelbase
6.1 minimum of 104” with ½” tolerance
6.2 measured with “stick” center of hub to center of hub

#7 – Shocks
7.1 one mono tube or twin tube shock per wheel
7.2 Schrader valve shock option is allowed; no remote shock gas reservoirs
7.3 no compression or rebound adjustable [“clicker”] shocks of any type
7.4 no remote spring or shock adjustment devices allowed
7.5 coil over shocks allowed on rear only
7.6 coil eliminators / sliders are allowed

#8 – Brakes
8.1 must be able to demonstrate operational 4-wheel braking system

#9 – Transmission, bell housing, driveshaft
9.1 OEM, direct OEM replacement, Bert, Brinn, or Falcon aluminum [no magnesium] transmission
9.2 bell housing must accommodate 81/2” (minimum size) flywheel / starter plate
9.3 automatic transmission does not need torque converter
9.4 automatic transmission must use an SFI approved explosion proof aluminum housing or be surrounded by SFI approved explosion shield / blanket
9.5 must be able to demonstrate forward, reverse, and neutral
9.6 no accessories other than starter may be mounted to the bell housing
9.7 driveshaft must be a minimum of 2” diameter; must be steel; must be white
9.8 driveshaft must have sling / hoop
9.9 an L shaped 4” x 8” x 1/8th “ aluminum ‘leg saver” is mandatory; device must be mounted left of the driveshaft extending from the rear of transmission to the rear of the seat; 4” over the driveshaft and 8” beside the driveshaft; dimensions are approximate other than 1/8th “ minimum thickness

#10 – Clutch and flywheel
10.1 minimum flywheel or starter plate diameter is 8 ½ inches
10.2 any single disk type or multiple disk clutch allowed
10.3 aluminum pressure plates, mini clutches, Coyote clutches not allowed
10.4 minimum clutch diameter is 5 inches [for cars using OEM / direct OEM replacement manual transmission]
10.5 scatter shield is mandatory for cars with manual clutch

#11 – Ignition
11.1 all cars must be equipped with a functioning self starter
11.2 any HEI, point style, or unaltered MSD or unaltered PROCOMP distributor
11.3 only one MSD or PROCOMP box allowed
11.4 no magnetos
11.5 single 12 volt battery only

#12 – Body
12.1 purpose built dirt late model body which closely resembles WoO late model series car only
12.2 maximum height of doors, quarter panels, trunk lid and fenders is 40” from ground
12.3 maximum width 76” at firewall; maximum width 72” at rear deck
12.4 roof must be mounted level to the body
12.5 maximum roof size front-to-back is 54”; minimum roof size front-to-back is 44”
12.6 maximum roof size side-to-side is 52”; minimum roof size side-to-side is 48”
12.7 rear roof supports must be uniform in design and location; maximum 43” long at base; may not extend above the roof, must extend to within 1” to edge of body
12.8 rear roof supports may bow in or out a maximum of 2” as viewed from rear of car
12.9 rear spoiler may not exceed 6”x72”; must be mounted flush on rear deck
12.10 spoiler supports must be triangular shape; maximum of three; maximum dimensions 8” x 23”
12.11 wings, spoilers, deflectors, or any aero devices other than rear spoiler are not allowed
12.12 tires may not protrude more than 4” beyond the outer edge of the body

#13 - Bumpers
13.1 front bumper and side skid rails must be mounted inside bumper cover and body
13.2 purpose built nose piece may not be modified; may not extend more than 52” from center of hub
13.3 rear bumper may not extend beyond 8” of frame on either side; ends of bumper tubing must be capped

#14 – Weight [measured in track scale pounds]
14.1 track scales are official
14.2 minimum weight is 2700# after race with driver without adding anything; 2% tolerance
14.3 ballast must be attached with at least two bolts of minimum ½” diameter passing through ballast and a substantial member of the car; may not be welded into place
14.4 ballast must be painted white and must have car identified on it

#15 – Engine
15.1 only cast iron V8 block
15.2 maximum displacement is 361 cubic inches for Ford or GM; 370 for Chrysler
15.3 no 400 CI blocks
15.4 only cast iron cylinder heads; casting and/or part numbers may not be removed
15.5 heads must retain OEM port centers and spark plug location; angle milling is allowed
15.6 only 23 degree heads for GM are allowed; no raised runner heads; specifically RHS part #s 12801, 12802, 12803, 12804, 12805, 12806 not allowed; others not allowed may be added
15.7 only N1 style Ford heads and only W2 or RT style Mopar heads are allowed
15.8 any solid or hydraulic camshaft; no roller or mushroom camshafts
15.9 any solid or hydraulic lifters; no roller or mushroom lifters
15.10 spark plug #1 must be within 1” of centerline of ball joints
15.11 no dry sump oiling system; no external oil pumps or Accu -sumps
15.12 Site plug optoional in oil pan on drivers side of oil pan, towards the front of pan, 3 to 6 inches back OR be prepared to pull oil pan.
15.13 604 crate Motor and with 700 4 barrel carburetors Allowed $1000 claimer on carburators for crate motors
Note: heads may get further definition; principle is that what we have is legal and that new expensive options are not

#16 – Carburetor
16.1 one Holley 4412 [500cfm/two barrel]
16.2 maximum venturi bore is 1 3/8”
16.3 choke horn must be retained
16.4 maximum of two holes may be drilled in butterfly
16.5 choke plate, shaft, and linkage may be removed

#17 – Fuel and Fuel Delivery
17.1 gasoline only
17.2 fuel cell is mandatory
17.3 fuel cell must be mounted in a minimum 20 gauge metal box securely mounted by two 2”X1/4” steel straps or 1” square tubing which completely surrounds the cell box; minimum dimensions
17.4 fuel cell must be mounted in trunk area and not lower than center of the rear axle housing
17.5 fuel lines should be routed outside of driver’s compartment; lines inside the driver’s compartment must be braided or enclosed in metal conduit

#18 – Wheels and Tires
18.1 only 10”X15” steel wheels
18.2 American Racer EC Tires ONLY. (Only exception is for tour shows).

#19 – Safety
host track race car and driver equipment safety requirements will apply. Host track officials will inspect for compliance.

#20 –other
20.1 we are guests of the host track; cooperate with track officials
20.2 RACEceiver or Solo II is mandatory; no two way radios
20.3 no mirrors
20.4 Series Marketing Partner decals will be provided and must be placed on car in conformance with location directions; failure to comply will result in no purse and no points
20.5 no electronic or computer controlled traction devices of any kind

#1 - Body
STOCK APPEARING BODIES ONLY! Can buy aftermarket body packages from 5 star Bodies or Performance Bodies or make your own bodies from steel or aluminum will be legal.
1.1 Any American made rear wheel drive car or pickup.
1.2 Minimum wheel base 107 in, 1 in tolerance.
1.3 Full frame cars may replace rear frame after kick ups with 2x3 tubing.
1.4 Uni-body cars may replace with 2x3 36in's back from center line of front wheels must go over top of rear end housing.
1.5 Minimum weight 2900 lbs 400ci minimum weight 3100 with driver.
1.6 4 point roll cage minimum of 4 door bars on drivers side front and rear hoops 1 1/2 .095 tubing minimum.
1.7 Stock steel body allowed optional aftermarket aluminum body must be stock appearing. Must run stock nose tail optional. 4 " spoiler allowed with 4" sides. (example Performance P/N PB0541150).
1.8 Must run full rear bumper must be at least 12 inches off ground.
1.9 Cars must be presentable.
1.10 Max body width 82 inches.

#2 - Front Suspension
2.1 All suspension and steering components must be OEM and in stock location with the exception of upper control arm may be tubular. Tie rods may be replaced with hiems.
2.2 Steering quickners allowed.
2.3 Steel Body Shocks only. No Schader Valvels allowed. NO Adjustable shocks Allowed. $100 claimer on shocks (per shock)
2.4 Jacking bolts allowed on all 4 corners

#3 - Rear Suspension
3.1 Leaf springs allowed.
3.2 No pull bars. No three links. No traction devices. No Panhard Bars allowed
3.3 Floater rear ends allowed. No Gundrilled Axles allowed. No lite weight gears. ONLY Steel spools.
3.4 Rear end mounts MUST be within 2 inches of Factory.
3.4 Sliders on rear of leaf springs allowed

#4 - Engine
4.1 All engines must remain stock stroke configuration for manufacturer and cubic inch. Flat top or Dish pistons ONLY!! Pistons CAN NOT extend above deck!
4.2 602 sealed Crate Motor with 650 4 barrel carb Allowed!.
4.3 Maximum overbore GM 350+70ths, Ford 351+70ths, Chrysler 360 40ths GM 400 40ths.
4.4 Stock production blocks only.
4.5 No Porting or Polishing Cast iron cylinder stock production head, Dart SS heads P/N 10021070 or 10021010, Dart SS heads P/N 10021070 or 10021010. or Bowtie head and World products head allowed #043600, #043610 with stock valve size only!       Only Vortec heads allowed is #906 and #062. Valve size no larger than - INTAKE 1.940" / EXHAUST 1.500".
4.6 No roller cam.
4.7 Roller rockers allowed no shaft rockers unless factory.
4.8 Stock unaltered crank shafts.
4.9 Engine setback MAX. Center of number 1 spark plug hole in line with the center of the upper ball joint.
4.10 Factory stock distributors points or HEI.
4.11 12 volt system only.
4.12 Carburetor stock #4412 out of the box or #4412s. Carb must pass tech with track tech tools. No hp.
4.13 GM 602 crate motor intake is legal.

4.18 Headers allowed 1 5/8 tubes crossover headers allowed. No180 headers allowed. No step headers. No balance pipes. No 2 into1. 3in max pipes, must run mufflers, must exit past driver.

#5 - Transmission, bell housing, driveshaft
5.1 Automatic or Standard Transmission - No Direct Drive, No Internal Clutches. Automatic or Standard Transmission. Steel bell-housing or blanket.
5.2 Steel driveshaft painted white.
5.3 Drive shaft loops mandatory 6in from front U-joint and one in middle shaft.

#6 - Brakes
6.1 4 wheel brakes mandatory.
6.2 OEM calipers and rotors.
6.3 Aftermarket brake master cylinder assembly legal.
6.4 >Remote brake adjusters allowed.

#7 - Tires and Wheels
7.1 8 in steel wheel max allowed, bead locks allowed.
7.2 Must have 1 inch steel lug nuts.
7.3 Tires - American Racers stocker tires 26.5/8.0-15dt, 27.5/8.0-15dt. Other manufacturer subject to track approval. No snows. No aggressive thread. No duals.
Only run American Racer Dirt Stocker MEDIUM tires or anything smaller than 8 inches wide and durometers 50 or harder cold. ANY TIRE QUESTIONS CALL JIM MAZUR

#8 - Other
8.1 Cold Air boxes are allowed.

#1 - Body
1.1 OPEN TO ALL 4 AND V6 steel bodied cars or trucks from 1990 and newer with a minimum wheel base of 2615mm or 103". No convertibles or SUV’s. This class is designed to be a pure stock class using all factory computer controls. If you are not clear as to what type of car this is please call the Tech Inspector.
1.2 Body lines must remain stock.
1.3 No cowl openings or hood scoops.
1.4 All glass must be rmoved.
1.5 All headlights, door handles and body trim must be removed. Light openings can be covered with aluminum or tin.
1.6 Interior of car must be completely stripped with the exception of the instrument cluster and computer location.
1.7 Driver must sit in factory stock location. All pedals must remain stock in the factory location. Floor pan must remain stock front to rear, with all rusted areas repaired.
1.8 Front firewall must remain stock with all holes covered. Rear firewall must be sealed off completely..
1.9 Battery must remain in stock location. BATTERY SHUTOFF SWITCH MAY BE REQUESTED.
1.10 Front and rear bumper must remain in stock location. Bracing is permitted behind the bumper cover. No external bars permitted. One exterior rub rail may be used on each door. They must be mounted tight to body of car.
1.11 Minimum weight WITH DRIVER IN CAR and no fuel added after race.
1.12 Steering column must remain stock.
1.13 Lift chains or cables on front and rear for towing.
1.14 The wheelbase measurement on the right and left side of the car must be within 1/4 inch measured center of wheel to center of wheel.
1.15 Minimum roll cage mounting will be 6 mounting points, with 4 mandatory 4 horizontal door bars and 3 vertical bars. Main cage supports must be attached to the floor with a 4"X4" plate that is 1/4 inch thick. The plate must be bolted and welded to the factory frame or floor. Each cage will be checked for a safe installation. Full cages are recommended. 1 ¾ minimum tubing for main bars.
1.16 Aluminum racing seats are mandatory. They will be mounted to roll cage.
1.17 Quick release five-point seat belts designed for racing is mandatory. All belts must have an identification tag. Age of safety belts must not be older than 3 years and must be mounted to roll cage.
1.18 Padding will be required on all bars that come in contact with the driver. Steering wheel hub must be padded.
1.19 Fire extinguisher must be mounted within reach of the driver and the track crew.
1.20 Stock fuel tanks and pumps mounted in factory stock location with skid plate. After market fuel cells are allowed. Must hold 12 gallons or less of fuel and have a bladder. Fuel cells must be safely mounted to the chassis in the rear trunk areal, behind the rear seat fire wall.

#2 - SUSPENSION
2.1 No heavy duty or limited suspension parts allowed. No adjustable shocks or spring adjusters.
2.2 Spring and shocks must be stock for make and model of car. No aftermarket springs.

#3 - Engines
3.1 Stock unaltered V6 engine and transmissions. Engine must match make and model.
3.2 No turbo’s or superchargers.
3.3 Maximum number of valves is 2 per cylinder.
3.4 No 4-cam engines allowed.
3.5 - 3.1 liter engines or smaller must be 2900 lbs.
3.6 - 3.1-3.4 liter engines must be 3000lbs.
3.7 - 3.4 or larger engines must be 3300 lbs.
3.8 Site plug optoional in oil pan on drivers side of oil pan, towards the front of pan, 3 to 6 inches back OR be prepared to pull oil pan.
3.9 After market in-line EFI fuel pumps allowed, must deliver fuel at the same pressure as the stock pump. All electric fuel pumps MUST have a clearly labeled shut off switch within reach of the track safety workers.
3.10 Stock air intake only . After market air filter elements may be used.
3.11 Engine must use all factory intake and injectors for make and model with all factory sensors connected. NO aftermarket or special order items allowed.
3.12 Exhaust must be factory stock manifolds with ONE outlet. One muffler or catalytic converter is required. Exhaust must be routed to the outside of the vehicle behind the driver. No dual exhaust.
3.13 Factory stock ignition only. NO aftermarket computers of chips.


#4 - Transmission, Bell housing and Drive shaft
4.1 Only production automatic or standard transmissions for the year and model allowed.

#5 - Brakes
5.1 Brake rotors must be factory stock with stock pads, no heavy duty or limited production items. No brake bias adjustments.
5,2 All brakes must be in working order and MUST work.
5.3 All brake fluid lines and hoses must be in inspectible condition. Anti lock systems may be removed.

#6 - TIRES AND WHEELS
6.1 Tire size will be the standard size for make and model. No oversize tires.
6.2 Wheels must be steel only. No aluminum wheels will be permitted. All 4 wheels must be the same offsets. No spacers or adapters.
6.3 215-60-R15 will be allowed. If 60"series are used the must be on all 4

#7 - Other
7.1 Full coverage driver racing suit with an approved snell rated helmet will be required. After 3 years of being track champion you must move up to the next class.
7.2 All teams must have and maintain a one-way radio/scanner for direct communication with the Raceway5 tower. This has helped with positioning and safety. Track radio - 454
7.3 DRIVERS COMPETING IN THIS DIVISION WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE TO RACE IN ANY OTHER DIVISION. THIS DIVISION IS DESIGNED FOR THE RACER WHO HAS A SMALL BUDGET AND WANTS TO COMPETE IN A WEEKLY SERIES.

#1 - Body
1.1 STOCK APPEARING BODIES ONLY! Can buy aftermarket body packages from 5 star Bodies or Performance Bodies or make your own bodies from steel or aluminum will be legal.
1.2 Any 4 cylinder sedan, subcompact, compact car allowed. No convertibles, station wagons two seat sports car or 4 wheel drive all-wheel drive allowed. No Camaros or Firebirds.
1.3 Minimum weight 2500 lbs. with driver.
1.4 Must be front engine car.
1.5 Recommend to tie front frame to rear of car with 2x2 and attach roll cage to 2x2 but not mandatory.
1.6 Must have complete 4 point cage installed in professional matter 11/2" .095 tubing min 3 door bars on drivers side.
1.8 Aluminum racing seat and 5 point harness mandatory must be attached to roll cage with at least 6 bolts.
1.9 12 gal max racing fuel cell STRONGLY recommended. If running stock fuel tank, must have skid plate underneath and securely mounted.

#2 - Front / Rear Suspension
2.1 Chassis must retain stock type suspension. NO adjustable spring pockets allowed
2.2 - Wheel base must be stock for that make/model car. Wheel base MUST be square within a 1/2" tolerance on both sides.
2.3 Quick Steers are not allowed.

#3 - Engine
3.1 Engine must remain stock as manufactured. DOHC engines are allowed. No Rotary Motors Allowed
3.2 No turbo chargers, only naturally aspirated motors. V-Tech Allowed
3.3 Must be same engine for make.
3.4 No strokers.
3.5 Block may be bored up to .060
3.6 NO After market Rods or Cranks.
3.7 No porting polishing of any sort to heads stock OEM size valves plus or minus 0.010.
3.8 Stock intake no machine work to be done on intake.
3.9 No high performance ignitions or ignition boxes. OEM only.
3.10 Stock carburetors, stock fuel injected or stock Holley 2 barrel 4412 or 4412s carburetors must pass track tech inspection tools.
3.11 Site plug optional in oil pan on drivers side of oil pan, towards the front of pan, 3 to 6 inches back OR be prepared to pull oil pan.
3.12 Headers allowed but will have a $200 (new) maximum that can be spent on them. Stock manifolds are allowed.
3.13 OEM 12volt ignition systems only.

#4 - Transmission, bell housing, drives haft
4.1 Front and rear hoops strongly suggested.

#5 - Brakes
5.1 4 wheel brakes must work at all times.
5.2 NO Emergency Brakes Allowed

#6 - Tires and Wheels
6.1 Steel racing wheels 7' wide.
6.2 American racing tire allowed or any dot tire. NO snows, mudders, aggressive type tire allowed.

#7 - Other
7.1 Mufflers mandatory.

The Bandit class is designed for the young beginner racer, ages 12-18, or if under 12 and has previous racing experience.They will follow the Mini Stock rules.

Payout rules
1 - Each weeks purse money will be paid in cash when you come to track the following week at pay window between 4pm and 9pm.
2 - If you wont be at RACEWAY5 the next week, and you want your money mailed to you; You must arrange that at pay off window before you leave the track that night!!
   2.1 - It will be mailed on the same day that it would be paid at track.
4 - Any questions regarding pay call 585 261 7485 monday thru friday.
